How To Transfer Camera Roll To Mac Reddit

How does everyone transfer their iPhone photos to Mac? Exercise y'all use Photostream to iPhoto? or is there a better way?

...I'k assuming nosotros would have to open iPhoto at least every thirty days or ane,000 pics to make sure none get missed.

Image Capture. I love uploading my photos that fashion. It's a free app will come with your Mac.

I like having my files within Finder not iPhoto and information technology seems faster and easier for me personally.

That's what I utilise as well. I've tried iPhoto and dropbox, but Image Capture is the but one that gives me full and intuitive control.

I often utilise iPhoto myself. I used photo stream when information technology first came out. It was ok. You can as well just connect your phone to the Mac with the USB cable and it'll give y'all traditional transfer options with the option to delete after transfer.

Simply Dropbox doesn't articulate your phone if yous run out of room.

Also photostream doesn't get videos.

I apply the AutoImporter tool from Prototype Capture.app to pull everyhing off the phone and delete it from the telephone. Information technology dumps them into a binder that Hazel watches and imports everything into Aperture.

I hadn't even thought about whether iPhoto needs to be opened for the Photostream to be updated on my Mac, simply the awesome automatic-ness of information technology just makes me grinning. My iPod Touch and other Apple gear all get the Photostream, and I have to say this is what really sold me on the value of iCloud.

Photo stream would be great but that 1000 flick limit is kind of a bummer. The dropbox app will sync your photos which is squeamish. It'southward non seamless though because you have to open the app to start the sync.

I wish Dropbox would non rename my pics after importing them. Also photostream will include videos in one case the update is here in the autumn.

I utilize Dropbox's Camera Upload feature. Over WiFi.

I keep Photostream enabled on my iPhone, just I don't even have iPhoto installed on my Mac. It'south mainly for looking at photos on my iPad if they've not been sent to Dropbox all the same.

Formerly using Epitome Capture (Highly under-rated app) simply now I just use Driblet Box.
